To republicans living in Alaska

Senator Ted Stevens (longest serving senator in the senate) is indicted on seven counts of filing false financial disclosures, each a felony charge that carries a penalty of five years in prison and an unspecified fine, and what do you do? You still vote in record numbers to keep him in his seat.

Why?

Because if Democrat Mark Begich wins, you lose the seat. But if Stevens wins, and is convicted (WHICH HE WILL BE THAT CORRUPT FUCK) you can hold a special election once Stevens is in jail, and keep the seat republican.

Wow...i'm really at a loss.

Actually, it's quite brilliant. Terrible, but brilliant.
